Insel Communications Dominates at The 18th Gong Gong Inter-Agency Games

The spirit of competition came alive on Saturday 15th of August 2026 as agencies from across Ghana’s advertising and marketing communications industry gathered at the Aviation Social Centre, Accra, for the 18th Gong Gong Awards Inter-Agency Games.

Building on the excitement of last year’s games, this year’s edition came with even greater anticipation. From the moment teams arrived, it was clear that agencies were not only ready to have fun and connect, but were also determined to claim bragging rights ahead of the Gong Gong Awards night.

The day brought together a vibrant mix of sporting and gaming disciplines, including football, basketball, Ludo, Draft, Scrabble, Chess, Mortal Kombat and FIFA. With an impressive turnout, the venue was filled with cheers, friendly rivalry and the competitive energy that has become a defining part of the Gong Gong experience.

But while the atmosphere was about unity and celebration, there was no shortage of serious competition.

Insel Communications Limited Leads the Charge

When the final results were tallied, Insel Communications Limited emerged as the standout agency of the 2026 Inter-Agency Games, taking home the overall title after an impressive run across multiple disciplines.

Insel claimed victories in football, Draft, Scrabble and Ludo, establishing themselves as the dominant force of this year’s games.

Their performance was particularly notable because the 2026 edition proved that last year’s success was no guarantee of victory this time around. Agencies that had celebrated wins and podium finishes in the previous edition found themselves facing a new competitive landscape, with new champions emerging across several disciplines.

The results reflected that shift in fortunes.

Dentsu claimed the FIFA computer games title, bringing their own moment of triumph to the games, while BTL emerged victorious in basketball, Interactive Digital claimed Mortal Kombat. In Chess, Optimal OMD took the top spot, adding further variety to the winners’ circle.

More Than Just Games

Beyond the scores, trophies and competitive battles, the Inter-Agency Games once again demonstrated the value of bringing Ghana’s advertising and marketing communications community together outside the workplace.

The strong turnout and heightened anticipation surrounding this year’s event created an atmosphere that was both competitive and celebratory. Colleagues became teammates, competitors and supporters, sharing moments of laughter, excitement and friendly rivalry throughout the day.

And perhaps the biggest reminder from this year’s games was that bragging rights are never permanent. Yesterday’s champions can become today’s challengers, and every new edition brings another opportunity to compete, connect and make memories.

As the industry now looks ahead to the 18th Gong Gong Awards night, the games have set the tone for what promises to be another celebration of creativity, excellence and togetherness within Ghana’s advertising and marketing communications industry.

Congratulations to Insel Communications Limited on an outstanding overall performance, and to dentsu, BTL, OMD, Interactive Digital,ReZultz and Publicis for making the 2026 Inter-Agency Sports Week a memorable one.

The games may be over, but the competition and the conversations about who really brought their A-game  are likely to continue well into Gong Gong Awards night.
